Sleep States ~
If you’re talking about sleep states, here’s a quick flow of how brainwaves move through them:
Beta (13–40 Hz) → waking state, active thinking, alertness.
Alpha (8–13 Hz) → light relaxation, daydreamy, drifting into sleep.
Theta (4–8 Hz) → deep relaxation, hypnagogic state, early sleep stages (Stage 1 & 2).
Delta (0.5–4 Hz) → deep, restorative slow-wave sleep (Stage 3). This is where the body repairs, hormones balance, and the nervous system resets.
Delta is the deepest healing state — immune system strengthens, cellular repair happens, and it’s often linked with spiritual replenishment too (the “void” or “source” state of sleep). The Delta dream state is where your brain waves slow down to the slowest type of brainwave activity. These Delta Waves are the restorative phase of sleep and often called deep sleep or slow wave sleep. This is your deep maintenance mode.
